Tyler Schrader, a wood-based artist, is deeply drawn to the tactile and visual qualities of the material, embracing the intuitive, collaborative relationship that unfolds between maker and wood. Through his practice he creates grounding, welcoming spaces that invite viewers to slow down and reconnect with themselves.

Schrader’s 13-foot tall sculpture, The Mesmerite, reimagines the story of a hypnotic sapphire as an immersive, room-scale installation. Combining wood, integrated technology, light, and sound, the work balances physical craftsmanship with atmospheric experience, encouraging quiet reflection and renewal.
